Tournament Rules

The complete rules for every World Trading League tournament. Each tournament page shows a short summary with its own dates, pool and payout details.

Trading limits

These limits apply in every tournament — practice and USDT alike. They are set by the platform and enforced on every order, so no single trade can dominate a market.

Loading current limits…

The platform adjusts these limits from time to time; this table always shows the current values. Limit and stop orders rest until their price is reached and fill without slippage.

Registration

  • Each tournament shows its registration window on its page. You must register before registration closes.
  • Real USDT tournaments require a connected MetaMask wallet and enough deposited USDT to cover the educational buyin fee.
  • The buyin fee is debited from your wallet when you register. If a tournament is cancelled (for example, not enough players), your buyin is refunded in full.
  • Some tournaments allow late registration after they go live — when available, the late-registration deadline is shown on the tournament page.
  • Play money (demo) tournaments keep registration open for the whole tournament.
  • One entry per player per tournament.

Trading

  • Every player starts with the same tournament bankroll shown on the tournament card.
  • All trades fill at the current live market price, set by the server at the moment your order executes. Limit and stop orders rest until their price is reached.
  • You can buy, sell, and — in tournaments marked as shortable — short and cover eligible assets.
  • Short positions pay a daily borrow fee, deducted automatically while the position is open.
  • Order size and total exposure per asset are capped as a percentage of that asset's average daily volume, so no single trade can dominate a market.

Qualification & scoring

  • Make at least 4 trades during the tournament to qualify for the educational USDT prize pool.
  • Players are ranked by total return percentage: (portfolio value − starting bankroll) ÷ starting bankroll.
  • Your portfolio value is your cash plus the live market value of all open positions.
  • Players who stay idle may be disqualified in tournaments with activity rules.

Prizes

  • GTD tournaments have a guaranteed prize pool. NGTD tournaments build their pool from entries: total buyins minus the house's educational buyin fee percentage shown on the card.
  • The prize pool is split across the top finishers according to the tournament's payout structure.
  • Winnings are credited to your site wallet automatically when the tournament settles, and can be withdrawn to your own wallet on Ethereum, BNB Chain, BASE, Tron or Solana.
  • Demo tournaments pay play money only — no cash value.

Fair play

  • One wallet and one account per player. Multi-accounting, collusion or exploiting stale prices leads to disqualification and a ban.
  • All trades, prices and timestamps are set server-side; the site never trusts your device for prices or balances.
  • Banned players forfeit pending balances to the tournament ban pot.
